Nicole NeShone Liggins is a native of Saginaw, MI and possesses a bachelor’s degree of science majoring in Community Development Administration from Central Michigan University which she earned simultaneously, while working in business development at a fortune 500 company. It was there she obtained her Business Acumen certification from Michigan State University.
Nicole has 20+ years of experience in business development, childcare, OST care, program development, management, macro and micro community development and training, effective managerial communication & developmental acumen, contract management, organizational leadership, entrepreneurship, mentorship, volunteerism, and philanthropy.
Nicole is the owner and of Building Blocks Childcare & Preschool Center for the past 11 years and is also the visionary, co-owner and CEO of Guided Grace, a mental health agency since 2017. Guided Grace provides the community with unique solution – based options for various mental health challenges facing youth, adults, and families. In addition to that, Nicole is the co-founder and acting President of Guided Grace Family & Youth Services which is a community – based organization established in 2020. Guided Grace Family & Youth Services offers unique interventions, integrating technology and mental health, helping clients overcome barriers and challenges.
She also has served as the President & Vice President of the Saginaw ISD Great Start Readiness Program Advisory Board and serves as the Lead Teen Advisor for the Great Lakes Bay Region chapter of Jack & Jill of America Incorporated. This year she was appointed to Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s team of Small Business Leaders, currently serving on the council representing Saginaw County and is also the recipient of the 2022 Saginaw NAACP Young Professionals Award.
